How to Teach your dog Good Behavior

Does your dog selective hear you? You tell him to come and sit and he ignores you like a girlfriend ignores a boyfriend after she's upset? :P

Does your dog chase a squirrel beside a busy traffic road and you screamed at the top of your voice but all in vain? It's time to teach your dog to behave and teach him good manners

Dogs don't understand the commands and you need to teach your dog what does that commands mean. Dogs are smart only if you train them and put in effort.

Tips to Teach your dog with Good Manners

  1. Positive Reinforcement
When you are teaching your dog to show good behavior, It is important to lure him with treats and encourage him to show good behavior. Do not encourage Bad behavior. Most of the dog owners praise and encourage bad behavior as well without knowing so.

2. Consistency

It is very very important to show Patience and Consistency when you are training your dog or puppy. Puppies tend to show results after 25-30 days while elder dogs take longer. You need to keep in mind the fact that neither your dog understands English and neither you are a certified trainer who can get results fast.

3. Put in Effort

Be sure to put in effort and time daily. Spend at least 30 minutes daily in trying to train your dog. Gradually increase once you get a hang of it.

4. Timing

Timing plays a crucial role in training your dog as well. Be sure to make your dog tired before you start training routines. Play some physical games and also tire his brain before beginning training. Also, take your dog for a walk twice a day. Dogs love to walk and travel outside.
